Join us
October 1-13th
As October dawns, the veil that separates us from our ancestors becomes thin, allowing for a powerful window of healing and connection. Embrace this unique opportunity to uncover and heal any ancestral imprints that may be influencing your life. Through the teaching of Traditional Mayan healing modalities, you will have the chance to embrace profound personal + Spiritual growth and transformation.
This is Deep Healing
This is a unique opportunity to receive profound healing for yourself and your family lineage and to also develop and empower your own skills as a healer or someone who desires to connect and share healing with those around you.
Break down of our Training
During the Trecena of Ajmaq:
Introduction to the Mayan Cosmovision
Learn about the Sacred Mayan Calendar count and how the Nahuales assist in our healing and everyday life.
* Specifically working these energies takes extensive training and is the spiritual work of the Aj'q'ij. This is only an introduction.
Ancestral Mayan Abdominal + Womb Massage
Learn about this ancient technique used to place the organs in their proper placement. This massage on a spiritual level also heals with stagnant energy, can move trauma within the body, and assist in fertility.
Creating your own medicine drum or rattle
Pablo Culum, a Mayan healer and community steward, will guide us in the sacred practice of creating our own medicine drum or rattle. Pablo specializes in sacred objects and instruments used for ceremony and personal healing. We will be using these throughout the duration of the initiation to connect and deepen with our voices, hearts and wombs.
Temazcal
We will be working and healing within the Temazcal. An ancient earth based structure representing the womb of the mother, the womb of the earth. Used in sacred ceremony and for healing in indigenous traditions all over the world, the sacred fire and water will be invoked to deepen your experience of purification, deep healing and activation of the voice. You will have the opportunity to first receive this experience and knowledge and then assist Nana Lucy in preparation and holding space for other women in the community.
Plants as Relatives
Learn about the usages of Medicinal Plants to assist in ailments, steams, baths, teas, compresses.
Lineage Healing
This ancient ceremony was passed down to Nana Lucy, a technique that taps into your bloodline. With a fire ceremony and family constellations using rocks, known as abuelitas and abuelitos, a correct placement is created and healing takes place.
Fire + Cacao Ceremony
This will not be an initiation, but we will have the opportunity to partake in learning about the Sacred Medicine of Cacao and how it is used in Mayan Ceremony with Fire.
Understanding the Offerings
Learn about and practice the significance and importance of offerings. This is a healing practice that you will be able to bring home and share with your loved ones. We will take time to create altars, offer to the fire, the waters, sacred spaces, and in ceremony.
This is an Initiation
Initiation is a rite of passage marking an entrance or a formal admission to practice certain traditions. In an extended sense, it can also signify a transformation in which the initiate is 'reborn' into a new role.
This transformative journey is not just an exploration of ancient practices, but an invitation to embark on a soulful adventure that will touch the depths of your being. This initiation will embark on the depth of Mayan Healing traditions and invite you to begin on your path to the deep healing of your lineage, ancestry, and womb.
