At The Feet of our Ancestors​

Our roots are living relationships. They can be remembered, listened to, and tended. As we give them our attention, we may begin to sense the larger family and living world to which we belong.

 

There are times when we feel far from the people and places that have shaped us. We may know only fragments of our family stories, or feel unsure how to approach the ancestors at all. Still, our lives grow within a larger web of relationships. Roots reach through generations, through land, through the plants and practices that have sustained our communities.

This October, we will spend time at the feet of our ancestors. We will ask what becomes possible when we begin to sense that web, learn from it, and tend it in return.

At the Feet of Our Ancestors brings together archaeology, Maya cosmology, an ancestral teaching with Nana Lucy, and a shared practice of remembrance. Each offering opens a different part of the inquiry. You can join the full journey or enter through an individual gathering.
